      Learning Support Worker (ALS Bristol)

      Role Information:

      Location: Bristol Campuses (WISE Campus & Filton Campus)
      FTE Salary: £25,287.00
      Actual Salary for 28 hours: £16,180.71
      Actual Salary for 35 hours: £20,225.89
      Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time, Term-Time only
      Working Hours: Minimum of 28 hours over 4 days or 35 hours over 5 days, 38 weeks per year

      The actual salaries are reflecting the 38 annual working weeks and this role is open to job shares and as it is a term-time role it will have all school holidays off.

      Term-Time Only Contracts will incur a salary adjustment if the start date is after 1st September, the People & Culture Team can advise how that will impact you during the application process.

            Key Tasks and Responsibilities
            • To work collaboratively with curriculum staff in-class to support learner progress and achievement in the classroom.
            • To supervise the learners during unstructured times when they are not directly supervised by curriculum staff (e.g. breaks, lunch times, arrivals and departures).
            • To provide out-of-class academic support for learners on an individual or group basis.
            • To complete all necessary administrative duties, such as accurately recording student support, in a constructive manner
                  Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
                  • Good standard of general education including Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent), or willingness to upskill.
                  • A desirable but not essential is experience of working with young people aged 16-25 with additional needs and/or EHCPs. This experience would preferably be within education, but other experiences related to health, social care or in the community is also very relevant.
                  • Experience or the willingness to learn Office 365 and its applications
