Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education and helping them achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience working with Post-16 learners to join a welcoming and inclusive Further Education College in the Chelmsford area.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners aged 16+ with a range of additional needs, including SEND, learning difficulties, and barriers to learning. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure all students have access to a positive and engaging educational experience.

Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to Post-16 learners across a variety of curriculum areas
Assist students with understanding tasks, building confidence, and developing independence
Support learners with communication, social skills, and organisation
Adapt materials and resources to meet individual learning needs
Work collaboratively with teaching teams and support staff
Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment

Requirements
Experience supporting learners within an FE, Post-16, or secondary setting
Understanding of SEND and additional learning needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work proactively and supportively with young adults
A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support
