The Opportunity
A welcoming primary school in Rossendale is seeking a qualified and experienced School Cook to support the preparation of healthy, nutritious meals for pupils, starting as soon as possible.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of school food standards, allergen management, and safe food preparation within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with School Food Standards
• Plan menus and manage food ordering
• Cater for special dietary requirements and allergens
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
• Work effectively as part of a school team

Essential Requirements

• NVQ / Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Food Preparation & Cooking
• Food Safety in Catering certificate (Level 2 or 3)
• Knowledge of allergen awareness and dietary needs
• Experience working in a school or similar setting
• Strong understanding of nutritional standards and H&S
