Early Years Lead / Senior Practitioner, New Pre-School Opening - Bedford

Aspire People are proud to be working with a supportive primary school in Bedford as they launch a brand new Pre-School in January 2026. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new Early Years setting from the ground up and play a meaningful role in its long-term success.

This role is ideal for an experienced Early Years professional who enjoys taking initiative, supporting others, and creating environments where young children thrive. You will be trusted to contribute ideas, support best practice, and help set high standards across the provision.

      What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting the daily running of the Pre-School
Delivering high-quality EYFS provision for children aged 3+
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals

      What We're Looking For:
Level 3 Early Years qualification (DfE approved)
At least 2 years' experience within an EYFS setting
Confidence in safeguarding, child development and inclusive practice
A proactive, team-focused approach and a genuine passion for Early Years

      Bonus (But Not Essential):
      Level 4 or 5 qualification
DSL, Paediatric First Aid or Forest School training
Experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role

      Why Apply?
Be part of a brand new Pre-School from day one
Opportunity to influence practice and make the role your own
Support from Aspire People throughout the recruitment process

      Safeguarding:
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS and online checks will be required.

If you are ready for your next step in Early Years and want to be part of something new, Aspire People would love to hear from you.

Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business. Aspire People is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and expects every candidate to share this commitment. Placements are subject, to appropriate Child Protection screening, including checks with former employers and the Disclosure and Barring Checks.
