      RE / PSHE Teacher - Secondary School - Wigan

      Immediate Start Long-Term Supply Up to 232.56 per day

      Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with one of our client secondary schools in Wigan to recruit an enthusiastic and committed RE / PSHE Teacher for an immediate start, covering a staff absence until at least Easter.

      This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified RE Teacher or PSHE Teacher looking for a long-term supply role within a supportive and values-led school environment.

      About the School

      Our client is a high-performing Church of England secondary school with a strong reputation for academic achievement, pastoral care and inclusive values. The school places a real emphasis on respect, compassion, community and personal development, ensuring students are supported both academically and morally.

      The RE department is well-established and plays a central role in the school's ethos, encouraging students to explore beliefs, ethics, moral reasoning and contemporary social issues. PSHE is delivered thoughtfully, supporting students' wellbeing, character development and life skills across Key Stages.

      The Role

      • Teaching Religious Education and PSHE across KS3 and KS4
      • Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
      • Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
      • Maintaining strong behaviour management in line with school policy
      • Working collaboratively with the Humanities and pastoral teams

      The Ideal Candidate

      • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
      • Experience teaching RE and/or PSHE at secondary level
      • Strong classroom management skills
      • Passion for values-based education and student wellbeing
      • Available to start immediately

      Both ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

      • Up to 232.56 per day, depending on experience
