Are you a natural relationship builder who loves connecting people with opportunities? We're looking for a Work Experience Recruitment Officer (WERO) to join our team at Peterborough College and Stamford College. This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week, all year round) that's perfect for someone who is proactive, organised, and driven to make a real difference in students' careers.
As a key ambassador for the college, you will expand our network of industry partners and secure high-quality work placements for our students. You'll be instrumental in ensuring every partnership is successful, meeting both our college targets and employers' workforce needs.
What you'll be doing - Researching, networking, and reaching out to employers to create new work placement opportunities
- Following up on business leads and generating new opportunities through cold calling, events, and marketing campaigns
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, acting as the main point of contact
- Marketing work experience, apprenticeships, and bespoke training to employers
- Carrying out employer health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with group policies
- Maintaining accurate records and keeping our CRM system up to date
- Reporting on progress against KPIs and employer engagement targets
- Resolving any employer concerns quickly and professionally
- Attending college events to promote work experience opportunities
Who we're looking for You'll be proactive, professional, and confident in building relationships with a wide range of people. You'll enjoy working independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, and be highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
Essential: - Experience in a customer-facing role
- Proven ability to generate business leads and build relationships
- Excellent planning, organisation, and administrative skills
- Experience using CRM systems
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between college sites
Desirable: - Experience working with young people and adults in education
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety requirements
