Location: Central Bedfordshire College - Dunstable Kingsway Campus with travel to our Bedford Campus when required

About the role: We are currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our Human Resources and Payroll department at The Bedford College Group
. As a Senior HR Advisor, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Strategic HR Leadership & Advisory Support - Provide high-level HR expertise, act as a senior advisor on complex employee relations matters, influence people strategy and lead the HR function when required.
- Employee Relations Casework & Culture Building - Manage complex ER cases to fair and timely outcomes, promote positive employee relations, ensure decisions align with legislation and best practice, and contribute to a constructive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Team Development & Cross-College Collaboration- Mentor HR colleagues, support HR projects and maintain strong working relationships across campuses to ensure consistency, professionalism and continuous improvement in HR services.
- Governance, Compliance & Data-Driven Practice- Maintain accurate HR records, uphold GDPR, safeguarding, EDI and H&S standards, use data to inform decisions, support statutory reporting and participate in core HR governance processes.
- Professional Values, Flexibility & College-Wide Engagement- Engage in CPD, champion organisational values, attend meetings/events across campuses, support invigilation/open days and contribute positively to team objectives and wider College activity.
About you: - Qualifications & Professional Foundation - CIPD Level 3 (or working towards Level 5), GCSE-level English and Maths, with strong grounding in HR practice, employment law and equal opportunities legislation.
- Employee Relations & HR Generalist Expertise - Extensive experience delivering ER casework, applying HR policy, managing complex cases, working in fast-paced HR environments and ensuring best-practice, compliant outcomes.
- Technical Skills, Systems & Problem-Solving- Proficient with HR systems and Microsoft Office, strong numeracy and commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Communication, Influence & Professional Behaviour - Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to build professional relationships, work autonomously, prioritise workloads and contribute positively to team success.
- Adaptability, Values & Compliance - Works in line with TBCG values, committed to continuous improvement, flexible with working hours, willing to travel across Group sites and maintains appropriate safeguarding boundaries with young people and vulnerable adults.
