Location: South West London / Surrey

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
      Start Date: March 2026

Our education recruitment agency is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school to appoint an experienced and passionate Inclusion Lead / SENCo on an interim basis until the end of the academic year, working 3-4 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established SENCo or experienced inclusion leader seeking a flexible, fixed-term leadership role within a supportive primary setting.

      The Role

The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of SEND and inclusion across the school during this interim period, ensuring continuity, compliance and high-quality provision for all pupils with additional needs.

Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, you will drive inclusive practice, oversee statutory responsibilities and maintain strong relationships with families and external agencies.

      Key responsibilities include:

      • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school
      • Coordinating support for pupils with a range of needs, including those with EHCPs
      • Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
      • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of interventions and provision
      • Supporting teachers to deliver high-quality adaptive teaching
      • Liaising with parents/carers, external professionals and the Local Authority
      • Maintaining accurate SEND records and provision mapping
      • Delivering staff guidance and promoting a whole-school culture of inclusion
      • Contributing to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

      The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable professional who can provide strong leadership during this interim period and quickly build positive relationships across the school community.

      Applicants should demonstrate:

      • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
      • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
      • Proven primary SENCo or inclusion leadership experience
      • Strong working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
      • Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
      • The ability to work strategically while remaining pupil-centred
      • A collaborative and solution-focused approach
