Teaching Assistant

Location: Bury and surrounding areas (Tottington, Radcliffe, Ramsbottom and Prestwich)
Contract: Full-time, part-time and temporary
Start date: Flexible
Pay: .00 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across mainstream classroom settings
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning support
• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support progress in core subjects
• Assist in monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
• Support classroom behaviour management in line with school policies
• Help create engaging learning resources and assist with classroom preparation
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Requirements

• A degree (any subject) or a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working with children in a UK school, tutoring, coaching, care, or youth setting
• A patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with a range of learning needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong understanding of safeguarding in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
