Location: Bedford College - Brooks Salon
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Note - Salary and Annual Leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year
though part time applicants will be considered Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time

About the role: We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Beauty Therapy to join our Hair and Beauty department at The Bedford College Group
. As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Deliver Beauty Therapy Courses - Teach and assess Level 1-3 Beauty Therapy programs, including Massage and Nail Technology, ensuring engaging and high-quality learning experiences.
- Support Student Success - Guide learners through tutorials, monitor progress, and help them achieve their full potential.
- Innovate Curriculum & Teaching - Develop schemes of work, create new learning materials, and contribute to enrichment and enhancement activities.
- Manage Administration & Quality - Complete reports, maintain records, implement quality processes, and participate in marketing and college-wide events.
- Uphold College Standards - Promote safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and engage in continuous professional development in line with TBCG values.
About you: - Qualified in Beauty Therapy - Holds relevant Beauty Therapy qualifications and GCSE English/Maths; teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve).
- Industry & Teaching Experience - Recent experience in beauty therapy with strong classroom management and student support skills.
- Exceptional Communication & Organisation - Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communication, organisational, prioritisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical & Professional Competence - High numeracy, proficient in Microsoft Office, handles sensitive data confidentially, and works effectively under pressure.
- Values-Driven & Flexible - Adheres to safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies; able to travel, adapt hours, and maintain professional boundaries.
