Located in the tranquil outskirts of Wigan, the school offers a peaceful and picturesque setting for both staff and pupils. The school is conveniently accessible with good motorway links and two direct bus routes, making the commute to the school hassle-free.

Position Details:

Role: Year 1/2 Primary Teacher

Contract: April to October 2026 (maternity cover)

Working Hours: 5 days a week, 8.15 am to 3.30 pm

Salary: Daily pay rates from £150 dependent on experience

Your Responsibilities:

As the Year 1/2 Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for learning among your young pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

? Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons aligned with the curriculum.

? Providing a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students.

? Monitoring and tracking students' progress, providing timely feedback.

? Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the overall development of the students.

? Instilling a passion for learning and helping students reach their full potential.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• Be a qualified teacher with QTS
• Experience of working within KS1 with a proven track record
• Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
• Experience of supporting pupils with phonics
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
