Croydon College is a vibrant, ambitious education and skills provider with a broad Further and Higher Education offer, committed to transforming lives, enhancing opportunities and contributing to economic prosperity in Croydon and its surrounding areas. Formed by a merger of Croydon College and Coulsdon Sixth Form College in 2019, we have been on a remarkable journey of transformation and growth in the last few years, culminating in our recent Good Ofsted grade. An impactful anchor institution, the college contributes significantly to the success and regeneration of Croydon, which is London’s largest borough and home to a thriving business community.
Our finances are currently in a very good position; we are delivering a surplus this year, with significant reserves and opportunities to invest. Our financial strength looks set to continue, with further opportunities for growth and development, while our two campuses have recently undergone refurbishment and benefit from modern learning facilities. The college is a rewarding place to work with a collaborative, inclusive culture and staff who are passionate and committed.
Due to the promotion of the current post holder we are seeking an exceptional Deputy Principal to join our senior leadership team and help shape an ambitious, inclusive and future-focused curriculum. This is a key role, working closely with the Principal and CEO to influence the strategic direction of the College and ensure every student is inspired and supported to achieve their career ambitions.
The Deputy Principal will provide visionary leadership across the curriculum, developing and delivering a curriculum that reflects the aspirations of our communities and responds to regional and national skills needs. With a strong focus on quality, the role will champion excellence in teaching, learning and assessment, creating a positive learning environment where high expectations, innovation and continuous improvement drive outstanding student outcomes.
Our successful candidate will have a robust track record in curriculum and quality leadership within the Education sector, with experience of leading teams to deliver high outcomes. We are seeking an aspirational change-maker, with strong ambitions for our college and our students, who will focus on achieving the highest standards and maximising opportunities to help lead the college ever further forwards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and inspirational leader who is passionate about education, inclusion and transforming lives through learning and will bring a passion for securing the best outcomes for students and an ethos that is in line with our FREDIE principles (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement).
