An excellent independent senior school in Potters Bar is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Biology to join its successful Science Department from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Biology specialist to teach highly motivated pupils in a school known for its strong academic standards, small class sizes, and supportive learning environment. The role will have a particular emphasis on A Level Biology teaching, making it ideally suited to a teacher who enjoys stretching academically ambitious students and delivering engaging, intellectually rigorous lessons.

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Biology across Key Stages 3-5, with a strong focus on A Level Biology

• Support the wider life of the school through pastoral and co-curricular involvement

• A strong academic background in Biology or a related subject
• Experience teaching Biology to A Level standard
• Excellent subject knowledge and classroom practice
• A genuine enthusiasm for independent education and high academic expectations
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents

• Motivated and well-behaved pupils
• Small class sizes and excellent teaching resources
