      Location: Bedford College - Cauldwell Street Campus

      Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £24,552 and £26,754 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People's Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

      Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

      Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time

      This is a UK based contract, and you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Unfortunately, we're unable to offer sponsorship and any offer of employment will be subject to evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.

      About the role:

      We are currently seeking a Centre Administrator to join our Central Administration department at The Bedford College Group.

      As a Centre Administrator, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
      • Administrative & Customer Service Support - Provide professional administrative support to the department, delivering excellent customer service and acting as a welcoming first point of contact for staff, students and visitors.
      • Reception & Communication Duties - Manage telephone enquiries and face-to-face interactions, ensuring all queries are handled promptly, professionally and in line with service standards.
      • Business Administration & Document Production - Support senior staff by producing high-quality documents including agendas, minutes, reports, correspondence and purchase requisitions.
      • Student Data, Exams & Systems Management - Maintain accurate student records using college systems, assist with examination processes and support data updates to meet funding and compliance requirements.
      • Operational Support & Compliance - Coordinate trips, manage post and resources, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities while supporting the efficient running of the department.
      About you:
      • Qualifications, IT & Administrative Skills - Good general education with GCSE English and maths (or working towards), supported by Level 2 IT qualification and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
      • Administration, Systems & Data Accuracy - Experience in office and customer-focused environments, using manual and digital systems to accurately record, track and manage data and documentation.
      • Communication, Customer Service & Teamwork - Strong communication skills across all channels, able to provide accurate information, deliver excellent customer service and contribute positively within a diverse team.
      • Organisation, Attention to Detail &Performance - Highly organised with excellent proofreading and attention to detail, able to manage varied workloads, meet deadlines and maintain high performance standards.
      • Professional Values, Flexibility & Safeguarding - Reliable, adaptable and professional, committed to safeguarding, equality and continuous development, with flexibility to support events, work across sites and uphold College values.
