About the Role
Veritas Education are working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Dewsbury to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher for a permanent position starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to join a successful Science department and contribute to high standards of teaching and learning.

The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about inspiring pupils and raising attainment across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school policy
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
• Uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all pupils
• A professional, positive and adaptable approach to teaching
