      Location: Near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
      Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
      Salary: To scale -dependent on experience

      Supply Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded school near Melton Mowbray for an exceptional Teacher of Geography and Politics.

      This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable educator to join a thriving sixth form environment where academic excellence, intellectual curiosity and student development are at the heart of everything they do.

      The successful candidate will combine outstanding subject knowledge with a genuine enthusiasm for sixth form education. They will inspire students to think critically, engage deeply with contemporary issues and develop the independence and resilience needed for success beyond college.

      The school is seeking a reflective and ambitious practitioner who values high-quality curriculum design, innovative teaching and learning, and the use of engaging, challenging resources that stretch students intellectually. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside a commitment to supporting young people as they progress towards university, apprenticeships and future careers.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Deliver outstanding Geography and Politics lessons that inspire, challenge and motivate students.
      • Foster curiosity, critical thinking and independent learning.
      • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
      • Support students to achieve beyond their highest potential, both academically and personally.
      • Contribute to the ongoing development of an ambitious and engaging curriculum.
      • Promote the development of students' personal, social and employability skills.
      • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

      The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

      • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
      • Experience teaching Geography and/or Politics at Key Stage 5.
      • A proven track record of delivering outstanding lessons and securing excellent student outcomes.
      • High expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
      • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
      • A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
      • A passion for helping young people succeed both in education and beyond.
      • A valid DBS or willing to apply for one
