      Barking and Dagenham College have an opportunity for an IQA Internal Verifier to join our busy Building Services-Electrical team.

      The IQA Internal Verifier role:

      We are inviting applications for this post as an Internal Quality Assurance, where you will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing and evaluating the quality of assessment processes and practice to ensure awarding body standards are met.

      As an  IQA expert, looking for a flexible working environment, you  will review quality of assessor performance, identify development needs and facilitate assessor development to maintain and improve the quality of assessment.

      This is a supportive role to assist lecturers.

      You will join us on a variable hours contract up to 18 hours per week (0.5 FTE) and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £18.35 to £24.74 per hour.

      Key Responsibilities of our IQA Internal Verifier:

      • To undertake, devise and record individual assessment action plans with staff and determine whether assessment processes and systems meet and operate according to quality requirements.
      • Track student progress and check that assessments are planned, prepared for and carried out as per our quality assurance calendar.
      • Provide written and oral feedback to the assessor and update assessment records in accordance with internal and external quality standards as set by the Awarding Body and the college.
      • Provide advice and support to help assessors maintain and improve their assessment practice and to check that assessment decisions are made using specified criteria.

      Our ideal IQA Internal Verifier should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

      • Experience as an IQA for Electrical.
      • Academic qualifications relevant to the field of study equivalent to Level 3 (E)
      • Assessor Award Qualification D32/33 , A1, TAQA or equivalent (E)
      • Academic and/or professional experience relevant to the field of study (E)
      • Possess excellent interpersonal and team development skills and have the ability to contribute to the team and its goals. Be able to work independently and as a member of the team (E)
      • Possess good IT and administrative skills and be able to keep accurate tracking records for tools and equipment (E)
