Curriculum Leader - HE Digital Arts

Salary:                       Point 33, £36,059 – point 36, £39,360 per annum depending on experience and qualifications

Hours:                        37 hours per week, all year round

Contract:                  Permanent

Location:                  This position will be based at our Peterborough Park Crescent site but the remit will cover delivery at both Peterborough and Stamford

University Centre Peterborough, Inspire Education Group’s provider of Higher Education in Peterborough and Stamford, is well established as a supportive and responsive educator within the region. We need a highly motivated individual to lead our expanding Digital Arts provision and ensure a curriculum that is both contemporary and exciting.

Our focus is on recruiting a HE CL with technical software ability with proficiency in animation, 3D modelling, post-production, app and games design to complement our existing team of graphic designers.

If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to utilise your skills and experience whilst developing your own career, this role will be both rewarding and fulfilling. You will pass on your specialist knowledge and develop skills for the future.

Within this role you will teach a range of level 3 - 6 courses across FE and HE, and assume a lead on the Digital Arts degree programmes which include specialisms in photography and graphic design. Key duties include:

  • Delivering high quality teaching and learning
  • Guiding and supporting learners, providing pastoral support and care
  • Providing appropriate assignment material for each programme and developing our contextual learning
  • Monitoring the progress, retention and achievement of learners
  • Maximising learner recruitment for HE/FE
  • Improving the progression rate of learners from FE to HE
  • Engaging in the development strategy for UCP in response to the changing HE landscape which includes the introduction of blended learning, interdisciplinary learning and the development of employer responsive arts provision.

A Level 7 or above qualification in a relevant subject area is essential, as is a teaching qualification at Level 5 or above. However, we also welcome applications from professionals with current sector experience who are looking to become qualified HE lecturers and would be open to achieving these qualifications. The post is full-time but we can consider two part-time roles for the right candidates.

You will be a self-starter, who can quickly build relationships, with excellent organisation and planning abilities. This is a great opportunity to invest in the next generation of professionals and contribute significantly to their learning journey.
