We are seeking a Maths Teacher to join our new Independent Specialist Post-16 College, dedicated to providing exceptional education and training for young people with learning difficulties. This is a unique opportunity to be part of Kent's only specialised college for young people with SEND and to contribute to the development of our Multi Skills programme.

Day to day of the role:

  • Motivate and support learners with SEND, ASD, and SEMH to reach their full potential.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality programmes of study, schemes of work, and assessment plans.
  • Act as an academic and pastoral tutor to learners, providing guidance and support.
  • Train and engage learners on a range of topics and tasks relevant to the awarding body, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A passion for teaching and the ability to engage and motivate learners with SEND.
  • Experience in producing high-quality educational materials and assessment plans.
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in English and ideally in vocational subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to act as a tutor and mentor.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and career progression.
