IN SHORT

Do you possess Business and Marketing experience and knowledge and think you could engage prison learners with interesting and innovative lessons? Teaching qualifications is a benefit but not essential.

If you are as passionate as we are about reducing re-offending and ensuring learners have a positive learning experience, this is a fantastic opportunity for you!

MK College have an exciting new opportunity for a Business and Marketing Lecturer to join the team based at HMP Springhill. As the Business & Marketing tutor?you will be actively engaging prison-based learners with creative classes and resources. Many of the learners have a diverse range of needs and learning abilities, they will often have had a negative experience with education. As a successful tutor, you will truly inspire them and provide learners with a positive learning experience.

As a Business and Marketing Lecturer/Tutor, you will be supporting learners to achieve success and guiding them through the courses. You will not only help them to achieve qualifications, but also confidence and skills they can apply to employment upon release, or to other areas within education.

MK College Group works to reduce re-offending by providing learners with opportunities to learn and develop skills. We would like you to be part of the learner’s journey, providing them with a positive learning experience. Classes at Springhill take place Monday to Thursday 08:30-11:30 and 13:00-16:00 and Friday 08:30-11:30. Tutor working pattern is 08:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00-12:00 Friday.

MK College will treat all applicants fairly and with respect, irrespective of their background, disability or any other individual characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from people with backgrounds which are currently under-represented within Milton Keynes College.  All offers made to successful candidates are subject to satisfactory outcomes to a range of pre-employment checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).   In addition, security clearance is required for all prison services positions up to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level.
