The college is looking for a Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor to join their construction team. They need to prepare and guide students through the process of their apprenticeship. They need to be able to delivery high quality training, coaching, instructions and assessment to learners in different teaching environments. The Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor is expected to work closely with employers to design activities and tasks to support learners in developing knowledge in the subject area. They need to liaise with employers, the college and the learners to ensure the apprenticeship procedure runs smoothly and all required documentation and admin work are done efficiently.

Successful Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor will have:

• Level 3 Plumbing qualification NVQ or Advanced Craft
• Domestic gas CCN1, CENWAT
• Level 3 TAQA or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications (or equivalent, A1, etc) OR a willingness to gain these qualifications within a set time period (supported by college)
• Experience working with/mentoring apprentices
• Strong industry experience
