At Croydon College Group our staff are passionate and committed to achieve the very best outcomes for our students.  We believe it is through our people that an excellent student experience will be delivered, and this will have a positive impact in our local community.  Our visions and values ensure that we put our students first and value our staff as our greatest asset.

We are seeking a Work Placement Officer for Health and Social Care to join the current Work Placement Team at an exciting time as we continue to increase relationships with employers, tutors and students to secure essential student placements, which is often the first introduction to the workplace that our students have. Working with the Work Placement Manager, you will cover placements across both campuses in central Croydon and at Coulsdon.

The Apprenticeships and World of Work department is an exceptional place to work, with staff working collaboratively to ensure the very best outcomes for our students. The area also offers the opportunity to develop your own skills and experience while working to deliver a positive career opportunity for students across the college. You will be expected to create and maintain constructive working relationships with colleagues in all areas of the college and with a range of external partners and stake holders.

The successful candidate will demonstrate understanding and experience of working with a range of employers, knowledge and understanding of the needs of students within the workplace, organisation, team working and time management skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. In addition we will expect to see an empathy for students, a focus on confidentiality, someone who is approachable and displays high levels of professionalism in all that they do.

Apart from our great locations, our wonderful staff and positive culture, we also offer a range of other staff benefits, including generous annual leave and defined benefit pension schemes. We also value staff development and have 7 days a year planned for staff development, including elements of team development, socialisation and staff wellbeing.

If you are passionate about making a difference, we look forward to receiving your application and joining our great college group.

Please note CV’s are not accepted – you must apply via our Croydon College recruitment portal.

The College is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive learning community, where we value inclusivity and treat our staff and students as individuals.
