In the role of Deputy Head of School, you will be predominantly based at our STEM Campus however this is a multi-site role and travel between sites is expected.

This role will involve supporting the day-to-day management of the Engineering curriculum school and supporting the Head of School in the development and management of both staff and students, ensuring an outstanding experience for students.

This is a fantastic role, which will involve participating in the development of teachers, providing opportunities to engage in industrial upskilling and contributing to curriculum development.

This role comes with annual teaching hours of 648. It is expected that the successful candidate will teach on engineering study programs to young people and adults.

The successful candidate must have:

A Degree or professional qualification in Engineering
A Teaching qualification
Teaching experience within the FE or Secondary School Sector
Line management experience
An ability to manage and lead across more than one subject area/specialism, with experience in at least one area of the school.
Evidence of supporting a team to achieve results.
A proven record of demonstrating excellence in teaching.
