About the Role

The School of Animal Care and Land Management is a growing and aspirational department based at Temple Newsam in Leeds. Our team consists of a Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department, Programme managers, Course Leader, Teachers, learning support assistants (LSA) and Instructor/Technicians. Our team work to support our learners to achieve their full potential and achieve their vocational qualifications.

We are looking for a teacher to join our team, the successful candidate will deliver theory and practical sessions on site at Temple Newsam, there may also be the requirement to deliver off the job training to apprentices which will be delivered remotely, as such having experience using technology is a distinct advantage.

The Temple Newsam Campus is part of the Printworks campus in Leeds, staff may be required to teach at Printworks, however the significant amount of our teaching is delivered at Temple Newsam.

What You Will Do
  • Prepare for and deliver classes to student groups, with clear intentions and well-defined outcomes.
  • Deliver theory and practical classes in our classrooms, animal care centre and Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST) farm.
  • Manage student progress and achievement
  • Evaluate students' work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate in personal development, working to develop your own professional knowledge and skill set.
