About the role:

Activate Learning are looking to recruit a vibrant, creative, and people-focussed candidate to join our Student Enrichment team. Our Student Enrichment Officers are responsible for making college life on campus a fun, inspiring, and enjoyable place for all our students.

You will also be responsible for organising a programme of clubs and events on your campus, working from an annual plan of events and enrichment which is followed across all of our campuses. You will work with local teams to make these specific, relatable, and effective for your campus.

You will lead on a variety of areas in relation to the Learner Voice and student feedback programme on your campus. This will involve recruiting and supporting student reps, organising regular focus groups and feedback sessions, as well as the annual Student Conference. You will be a champion for student feedback and develop strong relationships with Faculty teaching teams and Group Services support teams to be a conduit for the student voice.

You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the Students’ Union on campus, helping them to raise their profile and extend their reach across the student body.

This is a permanent, part-time position working 26 hours per week during term-time (0.59) at our Oxford and Blackbird Leys campuses.

What do you need to be successful as a Student Enrichment Officer at Activate Learning?

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young or vulnerable adults and will have knowledge, gained through performing a student-based role, of the issues that present as barriers to participation in education with a creative approach to achieving engagement and participation.

You will be approachable, forward thinking and solutions focused, with excellent planning and organisation skills. Experience in organising events and/or large scale projects would be desirable.
