Counselling Lecturers - Sessional

£34.32 per hour (£28.27 to £6.05 holiday pay)

To

£40.55 per hour (£33.40 + £7.15 holiday pay)

We're expanding our dynamic department due to increased demand for our outstanding courses. We're seeking lead and co-tutors to deliver CPCAB counselling qualifications, including the Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People.

Lead Tutor Requirements:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People (CYP-L5)
  • 420 hours therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above, with specific training in working with CYP
  • Minimum 10 hours of personal therapy
  • Membership in a professional counselling or psychotherapy association
  • 2 years post-qualifying practice, including current CYP practitioner experience and supervision provision
  • Teaching qualification and 2 years teaching and assessing counselling qualifications at level 4 or above
Co-Tutor Requirements:
  • 420 hours therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above
  • Current CYP practitioner or supervision experience
  • 1 year teaching and assessing counselling qualifications at level 4 or above
All Applicants Must Have:
  • Membership in a professional counselling or psychotherapy association (e.g., BACP or UKCP)
  • Evidence of 30 hours CPD annually and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Collaboration skills to work with co-tutors and the wider team
  • Availability for termly/quartely team meetings
  • Passion for student development and the counselling profession
  • Experience with various counselling modalities, especially person-centered/humanistic, is advantageous.
