About the role:

Activate Learning are looking for a Hairdressing Teacher to join our hairdressing teaching team at Oxford College. 

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and creative individuals with the ability to inspire, so that our hairdressing students have a memorable learning experience.

With your excellent subject knowledge and practice skills you will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate teachers to ensure we plan and deliver purposeful practical and theory lessons up to level 3, and participate in the curriculum development to meet the needs of changing industry demands.

Our Lifestyles department has an excellent record of delivering vocational hairdressing courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team. We deliver well-established and highly successful professionally accredited courses in hairdressing.

This is a permanent part-time role, working 30 hours per week based at Oxford college. 

What do you need to be successful Hairdressing Teacher at Activate Learning? 

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.

You will have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing with recent experience and up-to-date knowledge of the hairdressing industry to develop the skills of the future generation.

You will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational, and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students acting as a role model throughout.
