      Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics Teacher

      We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Teacher to join our Construction and Engineering Faculty at Bracknell and Wokingham College. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Levels 1, 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics programmes.

      Our faculty has an excellent track record of delivering vocational programmes with employability at their core. With strong industry links and a teaching team made up of experienced professionals. We deliver well-established, highly successful and professionally accredited Electrical Engineering courses that support learners to progress into employment.

      This is a part-time, permanent role, working three days per week (Monday, Thursday and Friday), based at our Bracknell and Wokingham campus.

      About the role

      As an Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Teacher, you will:

      • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Levels 1-3 programmes
      • Plan and assess learning in line with awarding body and college requirements
      • Support learners to develop both technical competence and workplace behaviours
      • Act as a positive role model, inspiring learners to achieve their full potential
      • Contribute to the continued development of the Engineering curriculum

      What do you need to be a successful Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Teacher at Activate Learning?

      We are looking for an Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of engineers. A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their progression into employment or further study is essential.

      Essential requirements:

      • A Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering and/or Mechatronics
      • Relevant industry experience within Electrical Engineering and/or Mechatronics
      • GCSEs at Grade 4/C or equivalent in Maths and English
      • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
      • The ability to engage, motivate and support learners with differing needs
      • Teaching qualification and/or previous teaching experience (Desirable)
