Aims of Job/Job Purpose An all-round marketer, the post holder will predominantly focus on engaging with local feeder schools, initiating, developing and maintaining relationships with Teachers and Careers Officers, to ensure school leavers are aware of the full range of courses available at South & City College Birmingham
An enthusiastic and personable individual, you must be passionate about providing young people with the opportunities to learn the value of vocational courses, A Levels, T Levels and apprenticeships, and where they can lead to. The successful candidate will attend events such as assemblies, parent's evenings, careers days and practice interviews, alongside co-ordinating taster sessions at the college.
With your hands-on knowledge of the target audience, you will support the college's digital marketing strategy by developing content and communications that increase engagement with prospective students as they begin the customer journey.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities - Plan, organise, and attend events at local schools. Co-ordinate appropriate staff, literature, exhibition stands and transport
- Deliver engaging, interesting and effective presentations at external events
- Responsible for tracking, analysing and reporting all data collection activity on a monthly basis. Reporting from enquiry - prospectus request, event enquiries, and registrations through to attendance at Open Days and application.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of schools liaison activity and preparing reports for management.
- Support the Assistant Marketing Director by reviewing the attendance at local schools and identifying potential schools/colleges to work with closely to improve applications.
- Help the Assistant Marketing Director to organise a broad range of college taster events and visits for school pupils with Faculty Administration Managers.
- Develop outstanding email workflows and content that engages prospective students
- Find and promote opportunities for other college staff to engage in schools' careers programmes.
- Supporting Open Days with responsibility for ensuring a suitable range of demonstrations, tours and activities at each college campus.
- Ensuring a school contacts CRM is maintained and appropriate analysis and feedback of data given.
- Market research and feedback on new courses.
- Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.
