The role has responsibility for all operational aspects of the provision, including quality assurance and the development of teaching, learning and assessment (TLA).

The Faculty Director provides strategic oversight, acts as the sole line manager for the post, and offers practical support with planning, decision-making, and implementation as required. The 14-16 Manager will line manage 14-16 support workers.

The provision operates across Banbury, Oxford, The Leys and Reading, with Banbury and Oxford as the main sites. Support is also provided to the Reading campus, with occasional travel required.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Lead and manage the daily operation of the 14-16 & EHE provision
      • Line manage 14-16 support staff and oversee teaching delivery and cover arrangements
      • Monitor attendance, learner progress, and safeguarding, escalating concerns as required
      • Lead curriculum planning and assessment processes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and internal standards
      • Carry out quality assurance activities, including learning walks, data reviews, and learner voice
      • Act as the main point of contact for schools, families, Local Authorities, and external partners
      • Support recruitment, admissions, transitions, and progression planning
      • Produce regular reports and contribute to continuous improvement

Teaching cover may be required on occasion (no fixed allocation), primarily within PSD, tutorials, project-based learning, and English and Maths.
