      We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Campus Caretaker at our Aldershot campus.

      The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include basic security duties, first-line maintenance, caretaking tasks, porterage, and being a key point of contact for contractors on site.

      Applicants should ideally have previous experience in a similar role, be capable of performing a range of practical tasks, and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience working independently and managing workloads is essential.

      Positions within the College will involve contact with young people and vulnerable adults. Consequently, post-holders will be obliged to demonstrate and maintain their suitability to work with young people and vulnerable adults. This will include a requirement to undertake an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, in addition to referencing and qualification checks.

      Since the post for which you are applying may involve unsupervised access to children and vulnerable adults, it will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions Amendment Order 1986) please refer to the DBS website for further information.

      Candidates who are offered an interview for such posts will be required to disclose details, cautions (including final warnings or reprimands), or convictions which are not "protected" as defined by the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 and 2020), or any other matters that may be relevant to their suitability to work for the College. The College will regard any failure to disclose your criminal record as a breach of trust. It is College Policy that all candidates will be subject to a Disclosure check if offered the post for which the application has been made.
