      About the Role

      Are you passionate about horticulture and education? Do you have the leadership skills to inspire learners and a deep understanding of Horticulture? Join Bicton College as a Study Programme Manager (SPM) and lead the delivery of high-quality horticulture programmes, including RHS-accredited courses.

      As the Study Programme Manager for Horticulture, you'll take the lead in managing all aspects of our horticulture curriculum, with a focus on RHS Level 2 qualifications. You will guide learners through a full and enriching study experience-from induction to destination-ensuring their success and supporting their progression.

      You will be responsible for:
      • Overseeing all elements of the learner journey, including advice and guidance, attendance, behaviour, work experience and progression.
      • Delivering and maintaining high-quality teaching, learning and assessment standards.
      • Designing and reviewing curriculum content aligned to industry needs and RHS qualification frameworks.
      • Supporting learners' success through proactive monitoring, timely intervention, and high expectations.
      • Leading course teams, managing quality assurance processes, and maintaining compliance with awarding bodies and internal policies.
      Skills & Experience
      • A teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve within 3 years).
      • A Level 3 or above qualification in Horticulture or a closely related subject.
      • Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
      • A commitment to sustainability, learner success, and continuous improvement.
