Due to continued growth across the Cornwall College Group, we are seeking an additional enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer to join our team. Working within industry-standard workshops and training facilities, you will help learners develop the practical skills and knowledge required in Boatbuilding and Marine Engineering, while delivering an outstanding learner experience from enrolment through to progression.
Skills & Experience We are seeking a motivated and committed individual with a full teaching qualification such as AET, DET, PGCE or Certificate of Education, or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment. Applicants should hold a relevant subject sector qualification at a minimum of Level 3 and possess appropriate academic, professional, vocational qualifications and/or membership of a relevant trade or professional body. Candidates must also hold, or be willing to work towards, Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths within the first two years of employment. Relevant commercial, academic or vocational experience is essential.
Desirable qualifications and experience include IQA, NVQ Level 4, HNC/D, CGLI Advanced or equivalent qualifications, adult literacy and/or numeracy subject support qualifications, and a university degree or equivalent where appropriate to the scale placement. Successful teaching experience and recognition as a subject specialist and exemplar would also be advantageous.
