      About the Role

The postholder will lead a brand-new Pre-16 provision for Year 11 learners, developed in partnership with Cornwall Education Learning Trust, delivering an innovative curriculum that reflects the industries and sectors supported across the College Group.

Working closely with Curriculum Area Managers, the role will involve developing a broad and diverse timetable that removes barriers to learning and supports participation, confidence, achievement, and progression for young people. A key part of the role will be creating a practical, hands-on, and enjoyable learning experience that inspires learners through meaningful real-world activities and active learning approaches.

The role will include teaching for up to two days per week, with the remaining time focused on curriculum planning and development, collaboration with curriculum teams, partner schools, and external stakeholders, alongside the effective management and coordination of the programme to ensure a high-quality learner experience.

      Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have experience of working across a range of funded provision, including 14-16, 16-18, Adult, Community, Apprenticeship, and Higher Education programmes, together with experience of teaching or training within a relevant subject area and Study Programme Management in the Further Education sector.

A degree, Master's qualification, and Level 3 English and maths would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate honesty, integrity, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, teamwork, resilience under pressure, commitment to continuous learning, and the ambition to support learners and contribute to the success of the provision.
