We're excited to offer a brand new and unique opportunity to join our Construction department as a Lecturer A - Construction (Work Related Learning). This role has been created to deliver bespoke, employer-informed qualifications to Level 2 Construction students, adding clear value to their study programme and giving learners a competitive advantage when progressing into apprenticeships and employment.

      What you'll do
      • Design and deliver engaging work-related learning within Construction programmes at Level 2, aligned to employer needs and apprenticeship standards.
      • Deliver bespoke construction qualifications and enrichment activity that enhances learners' technical skills, employability, and readiness for progression.
      • Use your occupational expertise to bring industry practice to life, ensuring learning reflects current site standards, health & safety requirements, and professional behaviours.
      • Support learners to understand workplace expectations, including teamwork, communication, punctuality, and site conduct.
      • Prepare learners effectively for progression into Construction apprenticeships, employment, or further study.
      • Accurately assess learner progress, providing timely, constructive feedback to support achievement and confidence.
      • Maintain high-quality learner records, assessments, and tracking documentation in line with College requirements.
      • Work collaboratively with Construction lecturers, curriculum leaders, and employer partners to ensure an industry-responsive offer.
      • Contribute to learner recruitment, open events, employer engagement activities, and promotional events.
      • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety expectations.

      What you'll bring
      • Occupational competence in a Construction vocation to Level 3 or equivalent.
      • A valid CSCS Card.
      • Recent and relevant industry experience within the Construction sector.
      • A passion for supporting young people to succeed and progress into apprenticeships and employment.
      • The ability to contextualise learning using real industry examples and site-based experience.
      • Strong organisation, communication, and learner management skills.
      • A recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed / PGCE).
      • Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent).
      Desirable (but not essential)
      • PASMA qualification.
      • Experience delivering work-related learning, employability skills, or vocational enrichment.
      • Experience working with Level 2 learners in FE or training environments.

      What you're like
      • An engaging and confident communicator who can motivate and inspire learners.
      • Approachable, supportive, and committed to learner success.
      • Professionally credible, with a strong understanding of construction site culture and expectations.
      • Well organised, reliable, and committed to continuous professional development.
      • Passionate about safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
