Salary: £28,942.58 FTE, Actual pro rata salary for 7.5 hours £5865.60

About the Role Based at our Camborne Campus, the Counselling Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching on the HE Level 5 Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Therapy (BACP Gold Standard Accredited). The role includes assessing and moderating student assignments, providing effective academic support and feedback, and contributing to the ongoing development of the counselling curriculum. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in mandatory college training and continuing professional development (CPD), while actively participating in CCI and TCCG meetings, development days, and other activities that support the delivery of an outstanding student experience and the maintenance of professional and academic standards.
Skills & Experience - Candidates must hold a professional counselling qualification achieved through Higher Education at Level 5 or above, which holds BACP Gold Standard Accreditation
- Candidates must have an excellent knowledge of working with a Person-Centred paradigm
- Candidates must hold Full Accreditation with the BACP or be willing to attain this
- Candidates must have excellent IT skills, including Excel
- Candidates must hold a teaching qualification e.g. AET, DET, PGCE, or Certificate of Education (or willingness to achieve within three years of appointment - provided and funded by the College).
- Candidates must have or work towards level 2 or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.
