      About the Role

We are seeking a Study Needs Assessor for Exam Access Arrangements (EAA). The successful candidate will be experienced in assessing (and interpreting) a range of study needs at our Bicton Campus.

This is a role will ensure that assessment of learner need is in place, and that appropriate Exam Access Arrangements (EAA) are allocated in a timely fashion. Subsequently, suitable support plans and advisory strategies are in place for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). It is essential that progress sits at the heart of all decisions, as part of putting the learner first, and as part of our 'Graduated Approach to SEN Support'. We also maintain a strong position on applying arrangements which represent 'Normal Way of Working', and which replicate the arrangements that a learner benefits from in the classroom in order to access their education.

      • Take ownership
      • EDI Matters
      • Think Sustainability
      Skills & Experience

The person must have a sound understanding of support needs, practices and guidance, utilising this to promote progression for all learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The appropriate candidate will have experience of assessment for Exam Access Arrangements and the ability to perform this role using the methods selected by the ALS Leadership team.
