JOB TITLE: COMMERCIAL MANAGER – HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM
LOCATION: KINGS LYNN
HOURS: 37 PER WEEK
DURATION: PERMANENT
SALARY: £42,162 - £45,834 PER ANNUM
This is an exciting new role being introduced for the 2024/25 Academic year with a focus on growing the provision of hospitality, travel and tourism courses, including the apprenticeship provision. The long-term aim of this role is to improve and grow the commercial aspects of offering these courses and will include developing a strategy for sustainable, eco-friendly growth to better enable local communities to access our services.
Our vision is to become a leader in the hospitality, travel and tourism industry by teaching, inspiring and motivating the next generation of specialists as well as developing provision for local businesses to access staff development opportunities, as well as working with internal and external colleagues such as marketing, curriculum staff and suppliers.
Our state of the art facilities include a fully licensed training restaurant, 3 training kitchens and the scope to work with both internal and external customers.
The successful postholder will have a proven track record of developing and leading teams, particularly within the hospitality or travel and tourism areas, enthusiasm for teaching and learning and a minimum or a level four, or equivalent, qualification in a related subject. Teaching experience is not essential and full training will be provided.
We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Business, Humanities, Science and Computing team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength.
