Burnley College is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to work closely with the Head of Finance in delivering high-quality financial and management accounting across the College.

You will play a key role in supporting budget preparation and monitoring, producing monthly management accounts, developing costing models for budget holders, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and procedures. The role also includes liaison with internal and external auditors, overseeing reconciliations and accruals, monitoring grant income streams, and contributing to the continued development of financial systems, all while supporting a strong customer-focused approach within the Finance team.

The successful candidate will have a good general education (including GCSE Maths A-C or equivalent) and will possess or be working towards a recognised accounting qualification. You will have at least two years' experience in a financial environment, with strong experience of budgeting, financial procedures and interpreting financial data.

The salary for this post is up to £43,090
